"I HAVE TO DECLARE CERTAIN THINGS BECAUSE MY LINE IS CLEAR." "I AM THE' SON OF GOD NOT 'A' SON Of GOD."
Then he told,
"AS JESUS CHRIST I STAND BEFORE YOU TODAY."
He was no longer avoiding openly telling his position as he had done in the past years, even though he knew it would soon be told abroad and would bring opposition and ridicule from enemies. But God was firm with him, telling him that unless he took his position by faith, it could never come to him. Irs fact as Ayyah was still hesitating to be obedient to this command, he began to become very weak in body and the blessing of the Ashram rain dried up. God showed him that He was angry with Ayyah for his not claiming the Throne. History tells of punishments given, when God becomes angry when His command is not followed. For example, Moses did not circumcise his son and God wanted to kill him. Jonah who tried to run away from God, was swallowed by a whale. Ayyah tells what happened to him when he hesitated to obey what God told him, in his October 3, 1987 message:
"I got this trouble (heart trouble), that means God was very angry because after revealing so much, I was not taking my position. So He thinks, 'Why is this fellow standing? Why does he not take his position? So let us attack him.' So if you do not take your position, God will attack you, don't worry."
Then on October 3, 1987, he clearly proclaimed before everyone that he was King of Heaven and Earth apd Sea. After that, there was a ceremony to crown him King without any planning or knowledge of those who brought the ceremony about. It just happened.
"THE RIGHTEOUS AGE HAS BEGUN"(June 13, 1987)
"I AM KING OF HEAVEN AND EARTH AND SEA"(October 3, 1987)
"I AM 'THE' SON OF GOD"(August 27, 1988)
"I AM NO MORE IN TOE WORLD"(August 27, 1988)
"AS JESUS CHRIST I STAND BEFORE YOU TODAY"(August 29, 1988)
Ayyah is a man of very high intelligence and from a respectable family. He had much charisma as a leader and could have reached a high and wealthy standing in the worldly sense, had he not surrendered his all to serve God. Such a man is not some fanatic to make unfounded statements that have no firm foundation. It takes a very brave person to stand and make such declarations and open himself to such ridicule by his enemies. Throughout the ministry since the Moonlanding God Coming Down event, Ayyah had been shy to claim openly his position. Devotees who followed the messages closely, of course, understood this great position that Ayyah was chosen for, but Ayyah himself did not want them to publish it abroad to outsiders so clearly, or to let anyone use his name in songs or praises. But in the last couple of years just before his departure, he was chastened of God for failing to take his position, telling him if he did not claim it, it would not come. From then on he openly and clearly spoke. Ayyah had made a promise to God that he would preach whatever God asked him to say, no matter what consequences would follow. When Ayyah felt this pressure from God to boldly declare his position, even though it was very hard for him, he openly published it. First he declared that the Righteous Age had begun on June 13, 1987. Then he raised the Kingdom Flag and planted it in the earth a few weeks later. When any country plants a flag it is a sign, that country has taken possession.
In August 27 and 29 Messages, in 1988, six months before he departed, he made these statements as he was giving the message in the Ashram. He said,
I AM NO MORE IN THE WORLD
On August 27,1988, Ayyah stated, "I am no more In the world." What did he mean by this? He related from the Bible how Jesus told His disciples that He was no more in the world, and how very soon afterward, He was gone. He told that when you rise up, you must first rise up by faith and in the same way the Kingdom must first come in name, not in possession. Again and again in the six months before Ayyah's departure, he spoke to his devotees that he was no longer in the world, that he was rising, and that he would be leaving. But the followers could not understand the meaning of his words. None could at that time comprehend what Ayyah was trying to tell them and that he would indeed depart. Everyone believed Ayyah would be with them always. Then on February 24,1989, Ayyah left his earthly abode. Only much later could his devotees understand the reason why Ayyah should thus depart. After his many years of teaching, now it was the time for each one to stand on his own faith. In the years following many fell away, not being able to stand firm.
THE PEACOCKS RECOGNIZE THE RISING
In August 1987 Ayyah told, "I am no more in the world." When Ayyah made this statement, even though his devotees did not understand, the peacocks could recognize what was taking place. In the Ashram there were several peacocks that roamed the grounds. It is the nature of birds to make loud calls in the early mornings at sunrise; thus the loud calls of these peacocks could also be heard from great distances. On that morning, when Ayyah said he was no more in the world, the peacocks were strangely silent and did not make their usual calls. Ayyah explains why that particular morning they were strangely silent; "Yesterday all the peacocks were silent. Why? So He rose in the morning. After rising up, where is the King? In Heaven. Earth should be silent. Even the peacocks know this."
Then He tells: "Just rest on the Sabbath and don't see how I am rising." - Like the disciples of Jesus' time when He told them He would go, they did not understand; also Ayyah's devotees did not understand what he was telling them.
UNWRITTEN THUNDERS AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 1988, P. 6
Ayyah tells his devotees that his time is over and that he is rising. Still it was hard to realize what was taking place. Only the peacocks understood.
AYYAH'S PRAYER DURING THE JULY 1988 CAMP MEETING
In July 1988 seven months before Ayyah's departure he prayed this prayer:
"From this country let Thy Light spread throughout the whole world. Let Your Flag, which you have planted fly throughout the world, so this world will be Yours. Thank you for using me for this. And it Is time for me to leave and go to ¥om. Let these messages sink deeply into people's hearts. Let theim rojjfeel sorry after I go. Because, those who are inside me, they come with me. Those who are outside will be out in Tribulation suffering. Then You come to destroy the world. Then You are not an ordinary man and we can't stop Your anger. Before Your anger could become fire, let them embrace this teaching. Let them know that Yon have sent me as Your teacher for the present generation throughout the world."
Even though Ayyah was telling his devotees over and over that his time was finished, that he was rising, that he must prepare himself, that he must clear the things in his room, right up to that day of his departure still no one could then understand this meaning. When Ayyah left his physical form on that day, February 24,1989, on his 68th birthday, all his devotees were in shock.
